Nurses are available full time in all schools to provide first aid and support to students who become ill or injured during the school day. Parents will be notified if further medical care is needed, so it is very important that each child's emergency card be kept up to date at all times.
As a rule of thumb your child should remain at home if your child:
♦ has a fever greater than 100 degrees in the morning.
♦ had had vomiting or diarrhea during the night or before school.
♦ has a very frequent cough.
♦ has a persistent pain (ear, stomach, etc...).
♦ has a widespread rash.
Please remember to obtain an excuse from your child's health care provider if the absence is due to an office visit, or if it is recommended that your child not attend school.
