Student Assistance Program (SAP)
At the elementary level, students who are experiencing difficulties with social, emotional and/or academic needs may be referred to the SAP (Student Assistance Program) team. SAP includes professional staff and administration trained to recognize and help students who exhibit a wide variety of behaviors which may interfere with his/her academic performance, the academic performance of others, social development, emotional development and/or physical development. SAP cooperates with the family, professional staff, and other appropriate community agencies to help students better develop their social responsibilities and academic potential. SAP is designed to respond to the needs of students in a systematic, professional, and realistic manner.
